Yesterday I attended my second ever FIESTA event at the Capital Factory. This event is one of my favorites that I’ve been to.
If you don’t know, F.I.E.S.T.A stands for founders, investors, entrepreneurs, startups, techies, and Austin newcomers. Essentially, it’s a monthly event where investors and entrepreneurs can meet and network. This month there were some great attendees. I talked with Jozef Gherman, Aziz Friedrich, J.D. Calpena, and many many others. I love this event because of how many people go and how it gives the opportunity to meet such a wide variety of people. Every time I go to a FIESTA event I meet new people that I would likely have never met otherwise. For example, when I went yesterday, I met Xavier, an 18 year-old crypto trader. We instantly clicked and started talking. Now we are considering launching my new quantitative trading algorithm together and discussing how I can help him grow his online presence and community.
I truly think that FIESTA is one of the best events you can go to if you are in the Austin/Texas area. The people you meet and connections you make are absolutely invaluable.
