About 3 months ago, I was sitting in French class, watching YouTube. I had finished all of my work already and had a few minutes to kill. I clicked on a video that looked cool and when it loaded an ad popped up. I was used to this, I usually just skipped after 5 seconds, but this one was different. It was an ad by Google about their career certificate program, they talked about how you could learn one of their specializations and get hired. I clicked on the link and browsed the different programs, until one caught my eye. This was the Data Analytics course, I didn't know it at the time, but this was the start of a months-long journey toward my dream career.

I signed up for the course later that week and got straight to work. I already had experience in data analysis so the course was relatively easy. I learned data cleaning, statistics, data science, data visualizations, SQL, R, and many other skills. I finished the course and was hungry for more. That's when I learned about Harvard's Machine Learning for Data Science course. This course caught my attention because I had somewhat of a background in AI especially gen-AI. I finished that course pretty quickly too, it had in-depth examples of the mathematics and algebra behind machine learning algorithms, along with practical applications of R programming. In that course, I learned how OCR (Optical Character Recognition) was developed, I created my own ML algorithm to predict the malignancy status of breast cancer with 94% accuracy, and explored many other real-world applications of ML.

Now that I had both of my certifications, along with my previous business experience, I felt confident in my abilities and attended my second ever FIESTA (you should read my article on that too) to pitch my services. I kept attending events all around Austin every single day, dedicated everything I had to learning and getting better at what I do, and then one day, I landed my first client. It was then that I knew, this was the start of something monumental. Very quickly after that, I picked up another client, and everything was finally starting to work.

Now, fast forward to today, and my company, Obseron Strategies, is on track to hit $20,000 in monthly recurring profit in August. I am so proud of how far I've come and where I'm going, I hope that you join me on the ride there.
